ILISAP Inauguration Event
April 11, 2003

On April 11, 2003, the Puerto Rico Secretary of Health, Dr. Johnny Rullán, and Dr. Rosa Pérez, Dean of the UPR Graduate School of Public Health, announced the establishment of the Puerto Rico Public Health Leadership Institute (ILISAP PR).

Launch event

ILISAP PR is an institute for applied research directed to improve public health practice by developing leadership competencies in the public health sector. The Institute will organize interdisciplinary groups of committed public health professionals interested in becoming leaders who can promote improvements in the population's health, on the state of the health care delivery system, and the quality of life in Puerto Rico.

Faculty

The group in charge of establishing the ILISAP PR is composed of doctors José Capriles, Elena Batista, Ruth Ríos, Jesús Irizarry, María Castro and Francisco Alvarado Ramy.
