Residential Retreat
University Of North Carolina, Chapel Hill

During the week of May 12 - 17, 2003, the ILISAP PR Team, composed of doctors José Capriles, Elena Batista, Ruth Ríos, Jesús Irizarry, María Castro and Francisco Alvarado Ramy, participated in the NPHLI Residential Retreat Week. The scholars attended the residential retreat at the Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Team members jointly planned, developed and implemented an action learning team project that demonstrated boundary spanning leadership action to assess and address an important public health issue. A team mentor provided individual coaching to the team members. The scholars' 360-degree assessment tools were discussed individually by a Center of Creative Leadership facilitator.
